View the trial balance and general ledger

Steps — trial balance

1. Click Reports in the left menu.
2. Click the Financial Statements family, then Trial Balance.
3. Choose the period.

Steps — general ledger for one account

1. In Financial Statements, click General Ledger.
2. Choose the period.
3. Choose the account in the account list (only accounts with entries are listed).
4. Read the opening balance, each transaction and the running balance.

Good to know

• The same family has the Journal Register (every posted journal), the Comparative Trial Balance (two dates with the movement), the Detailed General Ledger (every account's activity) and the Retained Earnings Statement.
• Some report cards open the general ledger of a fixed account directly, for example VAT Detail — Input (1750) and VAT Detail — Output (2300) under Tax.
