What the MAJA Books dashboard shows

Steps

1. Open MAJA Books and click Dashboard at the top of the left menu (clicking the MAJA Books logo does the same).
2. Read the four tiles across the top: - BANK & CASH — the total of all your bank and cash accounts, taken from the ledger. Click it to open Bank & Cash. - REVENUE · THIS MONTH — this month's sales and the number of invoices. Click it to open the Profit & Loss report. - INVENTORY VALUE — the value of your stock (FIFO layers). Click it to open Inventory. - VAT PAYABLE — output VAT minus input VAT for this month, from the ledger. Click it to open the VAT workspace.
3. Look at the charts row: Revenue & Gross Profit, Cash In vs Cash Out, Operating Expenses & COGS, Receivables Aging, Payables Aging and Salary Payable. Click a chart to open the matching report.
4. Scroll down to Recent Invoices and Overdue (with a red count badge), then Recent Bills and Overdue Bills. Click View all to open the full list.
5. Use New Invoice at the top right to start an invoice straight from the dashboard, or VAT Return to open the VAT workspace.

What MAJA does for you

• Every figure is read from the double-entry ledger, so the dashboard always agrees with your reports.
• Revenue and cash charts skip the early months with no activity, so a new company's chart is not mostly empty.
• On a phone, the dashboard shows a compact set of figures and a list of what needs attention today (overdue invoices, bills past due, cheques due and returns falling due).

Good to know

• What you see depends on your role: a user without access to bills, for example, will not see Recent Bills, Overdue Bills or the Payables Aging chart.
• Press Ctrl+K (⌘K on a Mac) anywhere to search for a screen, an action or a document by number.
