Give items barcodes and print shelf labels

Steps — one item

1. Click Inventory, then Items & Services, and open the item (or click New Item / Service).
2. In Barcode, scan the product's barcode or type it.
3. If the product has no barcode, click Generate. MAJA fills an in-store EAN-13 barcode and tells you to print its label after saving.
4. For packs and cartons with their own barcodes, use Pack & carton barcodes.
5. Click Save Item.

Steps — every item without a barcode

1. On Items & Services, click Give barcodes.
2. MAJA tells you how many active items have no barcode. Click OK to give each one an in-store EAN-13 barcode.

Steps — print labels

1. On Items & Services, click Print labels.
2. Choose the Label format: A4 sheets of 65, 40 or 24 labels, or a label roll (50 × 25, 38 × 25 or 58 × 40 mm).
3. Under On the label, tick what to print: Name, Arabic name, Price, SKU, Barcode.
4. Under Price shown, choose selling price + VAT (the shelf price) or selling price as saved.
5. In Add items, type a name, SKU or barcode to add items one by one, or click Add every item shown in the list.
6. Set how many labels each item needs.
7. Click Print. The labels open in a new window and the print dialog appears.

What MAJA does for you

• When a price, name, barcode, VAT or pack price changes, or a new barcoded item is made, MAJA queues a label to reprint. The Print labels window shows "… labels to reprint" with an Add them button, and marks them printed once you print.

Good to know

• A barcode can belong to one item only.
• If nothing opens when you click Print, your browser blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for MAJA and try again.
• An item with no barcode shows "no barcode — give one first" in the label list.
