What MAJA does for you

  • MAJA numbers the credit note and posts Dr Sales Returns and Dr Output VAT / Cr Accounts Receivable.
  • When goods are returned, the stock goes back into the invoice's original FIFO layers at their original cost.
  • The credit note stays Open as customer credit until you apply it: open an unpaid invoice of the same customer and click Apply Credits.

Good to know

  • With Yes — goods physically returned, the original invoice is required, and it must belong to the same customer.
  • When you create the credit note from the invoice, MAJA reminds you to adjust quantities to what was actually returned.
  • A credit note that has been applied cannot be cut below the applied amount, and its invoice link cannot change, until you un-apply it.
  • A draft posts nothing.
