Add a salesman or sales agent
Quick answerIn MAJA Books go to Sales → Salesmen → New Salesman, enter the name, contact details, territory and an optional monthly target, link the person to an employee or to a vendor (an outside agent), pick a commission plan and click Save.
Steps
- Open MAJA Books and click Sales in the left menu, then Salesmen.
- Click New Salesman.
- Leave Code as auto, or type your own code.
- Enter Name *, and optionally Mobile, Email and Territory (for example "Dubai, Northern Emirates").
- Set Status to Active or Inactive.
- Optionally enter a Monthly Target (AED).
- Link who gets paid: - Is an Employee — choose the employee if the salesman is on your payroll, or - Is an Outside Agent (Vendor) — choose the vendor if the agent sends you bills.
- Choose a Commission Plan, or leave — no commission —.
- Add Notes if needed and click Save.
What MAJA does for you
- The salesman becomes selectable on invoices, receipts, credit notes and bad-debt documents, and as a customer's Default Salesman.
- Receipts also carry a Collector, so you can see who sold and who collected.
Good to know
- A salesman is paid one way only: as an employee through payroll, or as a vendor by bill. Choosing both is refused.
- Commission plans are created on the Commission screen; the salesman must be active and on a plan before you can compute commission for them.
