Run the daily books check with the assistant

Steps

1. Click the round chat button at the bottom right.
2. Type check my books (or "audit", "anything wrong?", "daily check") and press Enter.
3. Wait for "Running Books Health and the daily audit…" to finish.
4. Read the result and open the screen named after each finding (→).

What it checks

• Books Health — the same checks as Accountant → Books Health: the trial balance ties, every document has its journal, subledgers agree with their control accounts, and more.
• The daily audit, each finding marked HIGH, medium or low:
• a bank or cash account that is overdrawn;
• receivables more than 90 days overdue;
• bills due this week that exceed your bank and cash;
• an asset or liability account on the wrong side;
• a suspense or clearing account still holding money;
• VAT on sales out of proportion to revenue;
• an expense far above its usual level, revenue or gross margin falling against last month;
• round-amount manual journals with no reference;
• documents dated in the future;
• possible duplicate bills or invoices;
• unapplied customer advances while invoices are overdue;
• salaries payable outstanding, negative stock, overpaid customers;
• cheques past their date, an overdue loan instalment, corporate tax not fully provided.

Good to know

• The check reads only. It never repairs or changes anything.
• When nothing is flagged, MAJA says so and lists what it looked for.
