Set up tables and restaurant settings

Before you start

• Tables live on the server, so this needs the internet.

Steps — tables

1. Sign in as a manager and open Setup (or tap Tables at the top of the floor screen).
2. In Tables (restaurant & café), click Add a table.
3. Type the Name (T1, Window 3, Terrace 2), the Zone (Inside, Terrace, Bar) and the number of Seats.
4. Tap Save. Repeat for every table.
5. To change a table later, tap Edit; untick Active (on the floor) to hide it.

Steps — restaurant settings

1. In the Store & receipt card of Setup, choose Kitchen orders — approval before the kitchen: - None — every order goes to the kitchen at once - Table orders only — a waiter's table order waits for the till's approval - Every order waits for the till's approval
2. Choose Ordering from the table — the QR menu and the table tablet (see the table QR article).
3. Tick Café counter if counter sales with a dish should get a number and a kitchen ticket when paid.
4. Set any service charge, government fee or card tips under Charges on the bill.
5. Click Save store.

What MAJA does for you

• Every till, the waiters' phones (/pos/waiter) and the kitchen screen (/pos/kitchen) read the same floor.
• With zones, the floor screen shows a button per zone and All.

Good to know

• The floor screen says "No tables yet — a manager adds them in Setup → Tables." until the first table is saved.
• A table with no name is refused: "The table needs a name".
• Each table has a QR button in the same list for guest ordering.
