Where: MAJA POS → Who is on the till?Who: Every cashier, supervisor and manager

Steps

  1. On the till, the Who is on the till? screen lists the cashiers. Tap your name.
  2. Type your PIN on the keypad. The till checks it by itself after 4 digits (or straight away at 6). Use clear or ⌫ to correct.
  3. Home opens. The panel at the bottom shows Your role on the till, for example "supervisor · discount up to 10% · refunds".
  4. When you leave the till, tap Lock at the top (or the Switch cashier tile). The till returns to Who is on the till? for the next person.

What MAJA does for you

  • Online, the PIN is checked on the server and remembered on this till, so it also works later without internet.
  • Every sale, refund and drawer opening is logged against the cashier who is signed in.

Good to know

  • "Wrong PIN" clears the keypad; try again.
  • "Offline — (name) has not signed in online on this till yet" means that cashier has never signed in on this device with internet. Sign in once while online.
  • If the open shift was started by another cashier and some of their sales have not been sent yet, the till asks a manager to allow the handover, or you send the sales first (Home → Send now).
  • The Refresh catalogue button on this screen downloads new items, prices and cashiers when the till is online.
