Quick answerOpen /pos/kitchen on the kitchen's screen, sign in with the restaurant's MAJA account, choose the station, and move each ticket along with Cooking, Ready and Done · handed over; tap 86 a dish to take a dish off every menu.
Where: Kitchen screen (/pos/kitchen)Who: Kitchen staff, using the restaurant's MAJA account

Before you start

  • The screen needs the internet. Dishes must be items made to order with a station (kitchen, bar, grill, dessert or other).

Steps

  1. On the kitchen screen or tablet, open your MAJA address followed by /pos/kitchen.
  2. Sign in with the MAJA account the restaurant's tills use and tap Sign in.
  3. Tap your station at the top, or All stations. With more than one store, tap the store this kitchen cooks for too (or open /pos/kitchen?store=… with the store's id). The screen remembers both choices.
  4. New tickets ring and appear with the table (or order kind), the order number, guests, the waiter, the lines with seats and notes, and a running timer.
  5. Tap Cooking when you start, Ready when it is done, and Done · handed over when it leaves the pass.

Steps — when a dish runs out ("86")

  1. Tap 86 a dish, or the 86 button on a ticket line.
  2. Pick the dish, type the reason (ran out, oven down …) and tap Off the menu.
  3. To bring it back, tap ✓ back on the red OFF THE MENU strip.

Steps — printed tickets

  1. On the till, open Setup → Devices (this till).
  2. Tick This till prints the kitchen tickets (KOT) and name a printer for each station under Station printers (blank = the receipt printer).
  3. Save. Tickets then print by themselves through the printer bridge. Without the bridge, tap "… ticket(s) to print" on the floor screen to print them in the browser.

What MAJA does for you

  • Shows counts of new, cooking and ready tickets and refreshes live (or every 5 seconds).
  • Turns a ticket late after 12 minutes.
  • An 86 takes the dish off every till, waiter phone, QR menu and delivery-platform menu within seconds.
  • A ready ticket turns the waiter's table green and calls the number on the order-ready screen.

Good to know

  • The late time can be changed by adding ?late=15 (minutes) to the address, and the station by ?station=bar.
