Hold a sale and recall it later
Quick answerIn MAJA POS tap Hold (or F8) to park the sale on the screen and serve the next customer; tap Recall at the top of the sale screen and tap the held sale to bring it back.
Steps — hold
- With items on the sale screen, tap Hold (or press F8).
- The message "Sale held — … on hold" shows and the screen is empty for the next customer. The number next to Recall counts the held sales.
Steps — recall
- Tap Recall at the top of the sale screen (or press F7).
- Sales on hold lists each one with the customer or first item, the lines, who held it and when.
- Tap the sale to bring it back.
What MAJA does for you
- Keeps held sales in the till's memory, so they survive a reload and work offline — and parks them on the server too, so any till of the same store can recall them.
- If a sale is already on the screen when you recall another, MAJA holds the one on the screen first.
Good to know
- To throw a held sale away, tap its bin icon. A supervisor must allow it and it is logged.
- A sale held on one till can be recalled on any till of the same store: Recall lists it as "held on till T2"; the till that recalls it takes it over, and it leaves the other till's list. Offline, a till still sees and recalls its own held sales.
- A table order is not held — it stays on its table (Home → Tables). A delivery order is saved, not held.
