Give a discount and get a supervisor's approval

Steps — a discount on one line

1. On the sale screen tap the line.
2. Type Discount %, or an amount in or discount AED.
3. Tap Apply.

Steps — a discount on the whole sale

1. Tap Discount (or press F2).
2. Type Discount %, or an amount in or AED off.
3. Tap Apply. To take it off again, open the sheet and tap Remove.

Steps — when approval is needed

1. If the discount is above your limit, the Supervisor approval sheet opens and says what needs approving.
2. The supervisor or manager taps their name and types their PIN.
3. Or tap Ask a manager's phone: the request goes to the supervisors and managers, who open Approvals on Home of MAJA POS on their own device, tap Approve or Refuse, and confirm with their PIN. The till continues by itself when the answer arrives.

What MAJA does for you

• Shows the discount on the line and in the Discount total; the VAT is worked out on the discounted price.
• Records who approved, against the sale, for the audit log.

Good to know

• Default limits: Cashier 0%, Supervisor 10%, Manager 100%. A cashier can be given an own limit in Setup or in MAJA Books.
• A remote request lapses after 10 minutes. A PIN typed at the till still works while you wait.
• "No supervisor on this till may approve … — ask a manager" means no other active cashier with enough rights exists.
• A discount above the line, or above the sale, is refused ("The discount is more than the line").
• A manual whole-sale discount replaces a voucher already on the sale.
• The same approval sheet appears for price changes, cancelling, refunds, opening the drawer with no sale and pay-outs.
