How till sales appear in MAJA Books

Steps

1. Open MAJA Books, click MAJA POS in the left menu, then Live sales.
2. The list shows each receipt with time, till and cashier, customer, how it was paid, total and status. It refreshes itself every 15 seconds; pick dates to see earlier days.
3. Click a row to open the receipt: its lines with VAT and cost, the payments, and links to the invoice or the digital receipt.
4. Click Shifts & Z reports to see each shift: float, sales, expected and counted cash, the difference, the Z number and the journal.
5. Click a shift, then the journal number, to open the journal entry.

What MAJA does for you

• When a sale reaches the server, the stock leaves (first in, first out) and a refund puts it back at the cost it left.
• A sale On account becomes a customer invoice in MAJA Books, due on the customer's terms.
• At the Z, one journal posts the shift: cash in tills, card clearing, store credit, gift cards and points used, sales by each item's own sales account, discounts, output VAT, cash rounding, cost of goods, drawer pay-ins, pay-outs and drops, and any cash short or over.
• The journal is dated on the business day, or in the first open month when that month is closed or inside a filed VAT return.
• Training sales never reach the books.

Good to know

• The figures at the top show net sales today, tills seen in the last 5 minutes, shifts open now, and "Sales still on a till, not yet here".
• A shift with nothing to post closes without a journal.
• Use the CSV buttons to export receipts or shifts.
