Take table bookings and run the waiting list

Before you start

• Bookings live on the server, so the till must be online.

Steps — a booking

1. On Home tap Tables, then Bookings at the top.
2. On the Bookings tab pick the date and tap Booking.
3. Fill Name, Phone, Guests, When (Dubai time), the Table (or none yet) and a Note (birthday, window, high chair).
4. Tap Save.

Steps — the waiting list

1. In Bookings switch to the Waiting tab and tap Add a party.
2. Fill Name, Guests, Phone (to call them) and a Note, then tap Add to the list.
3. The list shows how many minutes each party has waited, oldest first.

Steps — when they arrive

1. Tap Seat on the booking or the waiting party.
2. If no table is set, or it is taken, tap a table.
3. The table's order opens, ready for the first dishes.

What MAJA does for you

• Shows today's bookings on the floor (the time, name and guests on the booked table) and counts bookings and waiting parties on the Bookings button and the Tables tile.
• The waiter pad shows the booking on the table too.

Good to know

• Use no-show or cancel on a booking, and gone on a waiting party who left.
• The pencil icon edits a booking.
