Pay in, pay out, drop cash to the safe, or open the drawer

Quick answerIn MAJA POS tap the Shift tile while the shift is open and choose Pay in, Pay out or Cash drop, type the Amount · AED and a reason, and confirm — every movement is logged and counted in the shift's expected cash; Home → Open drawer opens the drawer with no sale after a supervisor allows it.

Steps

  1. On Home tap the Shift tile while the shift is open.
  2. Tap Pay in (cash put into the drawer, such as change from the safe), Pay out (cash taken out for an expense) or Cash drop (cash taken to the safe).
  3. Type the Amount · AED or use the +20 … +500 buttons.
  4. Type the Reason — required for a pay-out and a drop, optional for a pay-in.
  5. Tap the button at the bottom (Pay in, Pay out or Cash drop). A pay-out asks a supervisor.

Steps — open the drawer with no sale

  1. On Home tap Open drawer.
  2. A supervisor approves if needed.
  3. Type why the drawer is opened. It opens through the printer bridge and the reason is logged.

What MAJA does for you

  • Lists the movements on the shift sheet and adjusts Cash in the drawer should be.
  • At the Z, posts them in the shift's journal: a pay-in and a drop move cash between the till and the safe account, and a pay-out is booked to Till Pay-outs for the office to classify.
  • Records every movement, and every no-sale opening, in the MAJA Books audit log.

Good to know

  • "A pay out needs a reason — it goes to the manager" appears when the reason is empty.
  • The safe account is set per store in MAJA Books → MAJA POS → Tills & cashiers → Edit store ("Floats and drops move to").
  • Movements also work offline; they are sent with the sales.
