Set up offers — multibuy, buy-one-get-one, % off and member prices

Steps

1. Open MAJA Books, click MAJA POS in the left menu, then Offers & members.
2. Click New offer.
3. Type the Name as the till and receipt should print it, for example "Water 3 for 5".
4. Choose the Kind: - N for a price (3 for 10) — every full set of N units of the same item sells for the price. - Any N from a set for a price — any N units across the chosen items and groups. - Buy N, get M free — for every N + M units of the same item, M are free. - % off — optionally from a quantity. - A lower price from a quantity — at that quantity or more, every unit sells at the lower price. - Member price — a price or a % off for members only.
5. Fill in the numbers for that kind (prices include VAT).
6. Under Items, search and add items, and/or tick Item groups.
7. Set From (blank = now) and Until (blank = no end).
8. Set the Priority (lowest wins when offers overlap) and keep Active ticked.
9. Click Save.

What MAJA does for you

• The tills work the offers out themselves, offline too, one offer per receipt line, lowest priority number first.
• The line on the till and on the receipt shows the offer name and the amount off; the totals show "offers" separately.
• A member price applies only when the sale's customer is a member (see the loyalty article).

Good to know

• An offer needs at least one item or one item group: "Pick at least one item or one item group".
• Use Switch off / Switch on in the list to pause an offer without deleting it.
• The tills pick up a change at their next catalogue sync (automatic every 30 minutes online, or Catalogue on the till's Home).
• MAJA Books → POS reports → "Offers given" shows what each offer cost.
