What MAJA does for you

  • GPSSA new law: 11% employee + 15% employer (12.5% when the wage is below AED 20,000, the government paying 2.5%), on a wage capped at AED 70,000.
  • GPSSA old law: 5% employee + 12.5% employer (+ 2.5% government).
  • ADPF: 5% or 11% employee + 15% employer, capped at the ADPF maximum (AED 100,000 by default).
  • GCC nationals with a filled home-country row use those rates; otherwise UAE rates with a warning.
  • The employee share is deducted on the payslip; the employer share is a company cost posted with the payroll.

Good to know

  • Nothing is assumed: a national with no emirate, law or member type is held out of the payroll run by name until it is chosen.
  • When you set or change these fields, someone whose joining date is before 1 Nov 2023 cannot be saved on the new law — choose the old law.
  • Pension replaces gratuity for these employees.
