What MAJA does for you

  • Salary: unpaid days since the last payroll at the full wage (basic + allowances) ÷ 30; if the exit falls inside a month already paid, the overpaid days come back as a negative line.
  • Unused leave and gratuity are on basic; unserved notice is deducted at the full wage for the missing days of the contract's notice period.
  • Any loan balance is deducted.
  • Processing sets the employee to Inactive, closes the active contract and works out the visa cost not yet written off; the accountant books it in MAJA Books → Payroll → Visa Fees with Exit write-off.
  • Posting books the settlement as a payable (using the EOS provision first) and clears the loan; a negative total becomes an amount recoverable from the employee, collected like a loan.

Good to know

  • One settlement per employee; delete the wrong one in Settlement history first.
  • A deduction without a written reason is refused.
  • UAE and GCC nationals get no gratuity (pension replaces it).
  • Use CSV or Save as PDF on the result, or the PDF/CSV buttons in Settlement history.
  • Deleting a posted settlement needs the accountant's approval.
