Generate the WPS SIF file
Quick answerThe WPS SIF is made in MAJA Books from a paid salary run — go to Payroll → Salary Payables, choose the run in the toolbar and click WPS SIF; the file downloads in the Central Bank layout with the net amounts actually paid. Check readiness first in MAJA Payroll → Payroll → WPS export.
Before you start
- Enter the employer details in MAJA Books → Settings → Organisation (MOHRE establishment ID and the bank's WPS routing code).
- Pay the salaries in a run (see Pay salaries from a bank account).
Steps
- In MAJA Payroll, under Payroll, click WPS export and check WPS readiness: each employee should say "ready". Fix anyone missing an IBAN, routing code or labour card in Employees → Edit → Finance & WPS.
- Open MAJA Books, click Payroll, then Salary Payables.
- In the toolbar, choose the paid run.
- Click WPS SIF.
- Upload the downloaded file to your bank's WPS service.
What MAJA does for you
- The file is named after your MOHRE ID with the date and time, ending in .SIF.
- It has one EDR line per employee (labour card number, routing code, IBAN, the month's start and end dates, days, the fixed part and the variable part — overtime and commission — and the unpaid days) and one SCR control line with the total.
- The amounts are the net pay actually paid in the run, never the basic salaries.
Good to know
- Without the 13-digit MOHRE ID or the bank's 9-digit routing code, MAJA names what is missing and makes no file.
- An employee without the bank-file details is left out and named in a warning; the file total is then less than the run.
- The WPS export page in MAJA Payroll checks readiness; its Open Salary Payables in Books button takes you to the screen that makes the file.
