Pay salaries from a bank account (salary payment run)

Before you start

• Post the month's payroll from MAJA Payroll (Payroll history → Post month).
• Add your bank account in MAJA Books (Bank & Cash).

Steps

1. Open MAJA Books and click Payroll in the left menu.
2. Click Salary Payables.
3. Set the Pay date.
4. Choose the Bank.
5. Tick the payables to pay, or tick the box in the header to select all.
6. Click Pay selected and confirm.

What MAJA does for you

• One run is one journal: Dr 2200 Salaries Payable for each employee / Cr the bank — the same shape as the WPS transfer.
• A payment voucher is added to the register, and each record gets a PAID chip in MAJA Payroll's history.
• The run gets a reference you can pick in the toolbar to make its WPS SIF file.
• Retrying the same selection on the same date never pays twice.

Good to know

• Only payroll records posted from MAJA Payroll appear; unposted ones are counted at the bottom of the list.
• An employee without an IBAN, a bank routing code or a labour card number is refused before any money moves: "Not paid — the WPS bank file could not carry: …". Add the details in MAJA Payroll → Employees, or untick them.
• A pay date inside a locked period is refused.
• Final settlements are paid on the Settlements tab with Pay.
